On April 21, Germans will once again take to the Berlin
streets demanding the release of Mumia Abu-Jamal and other
political prisoners incarcerated under racist laws, political
repression and the greedy exploitation of the New Jim Crow
Prison Industrial Complex.
We will be joined by Mumia’s former fellow prisoner Harold Wilson.
We will demand a global abolition of the death penalty,
highlighting the pivotal role the US has in this practice.
Occupy for Peace Demo at US Embassy in Berlin Germany (Part 2):
Germany’s largest TV station covered this event, where
the Free Mumia supporters joined and led a
peace movement demonstration.
In a strong show of solidarity the marchers from the
peace movement cued up to hold a piece of the Free Mumia
banner encircling the US Embassy.
The 700 meter (2230 feet) long banner demands Mumia’s freedom,
the abolition of the death penalty, the end of the prison
industrial complex, and freedom for all political prisoners.
The banner was hand drawn by hundreds of volunteers during
FREE MUMIA teach-ins all over the country during the last half year.
